First-year grades are important -- very important. Your 1L grades at Loyola Law School will not only determine your eligibility for law review and other honors, but will dictate what job opportunities are available when you graduate. By and large, the absolutely best thing you can do to position yourself in the legal hiring market is to get good grades -- especially during the first year. If you don't get good grades, then I think that you will find the job market extremely challenging.

I just wanted to thank you guys for the program - as an evening student I was already extremely nervous to tackle classes on top of everything else in life, but I went into my first year focused, ready to analyze and brief cases in a way that I wouldn't have figured out on my own until halfway through the year.
