Seton Hall Law Students

First-year grades are important -- very important. Your 1L grades at Seton Hall University School of Law will not only determine your eligibility for law review and other honors, but will dictate what job opportunities are available when you graduate. This is because the most selective legal employers recruit law students at the beginning of their second year, and they often will only interview law students who finished at the top of their 1L class. Given the staggering cost of a legal education, and a highly competitive legal hiring market, adopting a trial-and-error approach as a 1L is a flawed strategy. Learn why preparing for the challenges you will face during your first year of law school can help protect the substantial investment you are about to make in your legal education.

What Seton Hall University School of Law Students Say

More than 99% of our surveyed customers have said Law Preview met or exceeded their expectations:

First, I want to say THANK YOU! Thank you, thank you, thank you. In the months leading up to the start of the law school journey, my nerves began to get the best of me as I had heard of the rigors of law school and was skeptical of my ability to withstand the pressure and the work. I enrolled in Law Preview's late session in NYC and it was at that moment my life changed. Law Preview not only prepared me academically, but more importantly, it reinforced the notion that law school is manageable so long as it is approached in a certain way. It taught me to care about the little things and that those "little" things can make a big difference in the end. The people cared about helping me and the professors were extremely insightful. Now, I don't believe that I am even close to the smartest person in school, but I feel that Law Preview gave me a head start. Because of Law Preview I knew what I should be doing and when, while others were forced to learn by fire. By the time finals had come around, I was ready and I knew what to expect while others were scrambling to get finished. In short, Law Preview is one of the primary reasons that I received a 4.13 GPA and am ranked 3rd out of 307. Had I not gone to Law Preview, I can promise you that I would not be where I am today. Thank you Law Preview!

Law school was one of the most humbling experiences of my life. I always worked hard, got good grades, and I did well on the LSATs. Suddenly I found myself surrounded by three hundred people just like me; all of them intelligent, resourceful and some with more extensive backgrounds than I could imagine. How do you succeed when you're faced with such great competition? What is the only way to get to the top? The answer for me was Law Preview. . . . There was no time to figure things out once the semester started. While everyone was concerned with what to put in their briefs, I was reading ahead and getting started on my outlines. Law Preview gave me the edge I needed to stay ahead of the class and the skills I needed to succeed. As the semester went on, I referred back again and again to the exam strategies and I'm convinced it's what got me the A's, first on the midterm and then on my finals. Make no mistake; law school does not test how smart you are. Just working hard is not enough for an A. You need the tools that set you apart and ahead of everyone else. Thank you Law Preview for all the great advice and for helping me through my very scary first semester!!
