Thomas Jefferson Law Students
First-year grades are important -- very important. Your 1L grades at Thomas Jefferson School of Law will not only determine your eligibility for law review and other honors, but will dictate what job opportunities are available when you graduate. This is because the most selective legal employers recruit law students at the beginning of their second year, and they often will only interview law students who finished at the top of their 1L class. Given the staggering cost of a legal education, and a highly competitive legal hiring market, adopting a trial-and-error approach as a 1L is a flawed strategy. Learn why preparing for the challenges you will face during your first year of law school can help protect the substantial investment you are about to make in your legal education.

Law Preview gave me the edge I needed to do well this semester. First, learning a lot of the main concepts ahead of time really allowed me to focus on perfecting my knowledge of the concept, as opposed to merely trying to grasp the concept for the first time. For example, when my Civil Procedure professor was introducing Subject-Matter Jurisdiction, Personal Jurisdiction, and their distinctions, I already understood; therefore I was able to gain more from the lecture throughout the semester. Secondly, the case briefing exercises really paid off. The process of identifying the relevant facts, the main issue, etc was daunting at first; but by the time I started class, I was able to produce them much quicker than the rest of my classmates, who were just learning how to case brief. It saved me time and frustration once the semester started. In the end it all paid off because I am now in the top 1% of my class after the first semester. Thank you Law Preview!
Law Preview was invaluable because it gave me a game plan for success. I followed the 12 steps, calendar, and testing materials. I have recommended Law Preview to several incoming students including my my wife and brother-in-law who are both coming to my law school. Thanks to Law Preview I ended up in the top 7% of my class and was invited to Law Review last week! I am working as a Research Assistant for one of my professors and also found an internship at a law firm in San Diego. Law Preview is for any student who wants to succeed.
