UNLV Law Students
First-year grades are important -- very important. Your 1L grades at UNLV's Boyd School of Law will not only determine your eligibility for law review and other honors, but will dictate what job opportunities are available when you graduate. This is because the most selective legal employers recruit law students at the beginning of their second year, and they often will only interview law students who finished at the top of their 1L class. Given the staggering cost of a legal education, and a highly competitive legal hiring market, adopting a trial-and-error approach as a 1L is a flawed strategy. Learn why preparing for the challenges you will face during your first year of law school can help protect the substantial investment you are about to make in your legal education.

Hey, Don, hope all is well with Law Preview. I should have kept in touch, but got quite distracted between working full-time and attending law school in the evenings over the last four years. I graduated last May, ranked first in the William S. Boyd School of Law Class of 2005 here in Las Vegas. A lot of the tips I learned in Law Preview helped me through law school . . . thanks again!
Law Preview helped me stay focused and goal-oriented. It made me realize that I wasn't wasting time studying and thoroughly learning each case as I briefed. Law Preview also gave me a better idea of what to expect from the workload, the other students, and from the professors. I didn't feel lost at all when classes started.
I think Law Preview really helped give a foundation to what was going on. First semester was a little overwhelming, but it would have been a lot more so if LP hadn't warmed me up to briefing, some of the material, research, and what to expect.
I love law school and am very glad that I got the head start with Law Preview. . . . My first year went very well and was invited to join the Law Review. I wish you continued success and extend my appreciation to you and your program!
