Law Preview provided the tools so that I felt prepared on day one. I used the case briefing techniques on a daily basis.

I would just like to thank you for all help with preparing for my first year at Hofstra Law. I just received my first year grades and I have 5 As and 1 B +, putting me 3rd in my class. Again, thank you, I could not have done it without the class. I would recommend that every first year law student take the prep class, it gives you an incredible advantage. While other students are walking around trying to figure out what is a "brief" I had a strategic plan for the entire course!

Law Preview is a company committed to providing a clear roadmap for law school. Law Preview's founders genuinely care about their students -- this is evidenced by the fact that they invite their students to call them (day or night!) after the course ends. . . . Furthermore, I was able to get the 'best' professors in each area of law to introduce me to the first-year subjects and I was impressed that every one of Law Preview's professors had such charisma and 'stage presence' that they kept me hanging on every word! Thank you again for such a wonderful experience! I would gladly recommend this course to future law students -- but not necessarily the students in MY law school class.

I found the few hours that I spent with law preview more worthwhile than the hundreds of hours I spent in class as a 1L. I highly enjoyed law preview because the professors were CLEAR and DIRECT and that is a RARE combination in law school. I think this course should be mandatory for all incoming law students. In my case, our professors taught us in reverse, so I didn't even get to the bulk of the material covered in law preview until the spring, but it helped me immensely in understanding fall coursework. You guys are doing an excellent job! Keep up the good work!

Nothing can truly prepare you for your 1st semester of Law School, but Law Preview allowed me to get a jump-start on my classmates at the beginning of my 1st semester. While everyone else was still trying to figure out what was going on, I was able to dive right into my courses. Because of Law Preview, I had experience reading and briefing cases, in addition to substantive notes for each of my courses, which I referred to many times over the semester. The briefing techniques and strategies I learned at Law Preview helped me stay organized, and I used Law Preview's proposed schedule and timeline to ensure that I did not fall behind. If I had not attended Law Preview, I may not have received the only A+ in my Contracts class. I would recommend Law Preview to all incoming law students.

It prepared me for how hard I would need to work to succeed, and the time management skills I would need to succeed. It also gave me a nice little head start on a couple key cases so that I was a little bit more ready than the average kid.

Law Preview was an invaluable learning tool prior to entering law school. It prepared me mentally beginning day 1 for what I was about to experience, which I believe gave me a distinct advantage over my classmates. I used or referred to the briefing, studying, scheduling and writing techniques I learned from Law Preview throughout the year and plan to continue to utilize those skills because they worked! I got multiple A's as a 1L. I would highly recommend the Law Preview class for anyone entering law school.

Law Preview was very helpful because it gave me a plan about how to tackle the challenges I faced. The most important aspect that Law Preview gave me is the mindset that I could do this - that I could be successful in law school. It was nice to know that I had at least one person was cheering me on to do well.

Law Preview was really good at giving me a plan about how to tackle learning all the material. Planning is 80% of law school.

At Howard, we do not know our class rank until the end of the year. However, I have received my first semester grades. I got 2 As and a B. Thus, I have an A average!! Law Preview should be required of all law students entering their first year of law school. Why it is not, I have no idea. I simply cannot imagine what I would have done without the formidable introduction to law school and support that Law Preview has given me. I think that law school is difficult even if you have the benefits of an introduction such as Law Preview. I have a pretty non-traditional background for a law student and future lawyer. I spent most of my life as a performing artist (actress and singer). Thus, I was really worried that I would be at a disadvantage in my first year. But Law Preview gave me the confidence and tools to be successful. My grades are evidence of that. Moreover, I would like to commend your ability to bring such an impressive roster of instructors to the program. I particularly enjoyed my Torts professor from Yale. He was marvelous. He left me with such a deep impression of the importance of keeping my moral compass in order as I navigate this profession. Thank You!!!

I attended Law Preview at Northwestern this past summer in Chicago. I am currently attending Indiana University School of Law--Indianapolis. I followed the schedule you laid out for me and I earned a 3.85 GPA after my first semester. Following the study plan you laid out greatly contributed to my success. Two weeks ago I got an interview with Barnes and Thornburg LLP, one of the biggest firms in Indianapolis, and I received notification today that I am being offered one of six summer clerkships being offered to 1ls this year! I just wanted to thank you and your program for helping me to set out a strategic plan for doing well in law school. I am still following the schedule, and I hope to do just as well this semester, if not better. By the way, Law Books for Less is great too. Thanks again!

Law Preview gave me the advantage of knowing what to expect and how to prepare during the first year of Law School. Additionally it gave me confidence that I knew what I was doing so I did not waste energy worrying or trying to reinvent the wheel. My first year grades allowed me to easily transfer to Loyola - Chicago. I would recommend the program to anyone, especially if you have been out of school for 3-4 years like I had.

They do not rank us until second semester, but based on last year's numbers, I would be just outside top 5% (my GPA is 3.76, the GPA for top 5% was 3.77). Law Preview helped me realize that I would have to put in a lot more time and be extremely serious about my law school studies. Even though it was a struggle sometimes to stay at the library for 10-12 hours, it really paid off in the end.

Law Preview was critical in giving me the strategic advantages that allowed me to excel during the 1L year. Many of my colleagues did not realize the correct pacing and preparation schedule until it was far too late. I appreciated Don's realistic and blunt advice about the difficulties you will face during the first year. Law school is about hard work and proper preparation, and Law Preview made this unambiguously clear through the Strategies for Academic Success sessions, as well as the experience of preparing for the mini-courses at Law Preview. . . . Last, and maybe most important, I left Law Preview excited to start school. When the year began I was able to step through the doors with the confidence of having an explicit and detailed plan about what was going to happen. Carrying through with the Law Preview schedule allowed me to go into exams confident, relatively stress-free, and somewhat rested. While this it was not a particularly "fun" experience to go through finals, I know that my experience was far better than most. [Ranked top 1% after first year].

Law Preview really helped me understand the commitment law school requires. I went in to law school ready to work, and it paid off. I have just been invited to join law review based on my class ranking [12 out of 313]. My week at Law Preview was truly worth it, and I wold recommend it to all incoming law students.

Law Preview provided me with the valuable insight to the demands of the first semester of law school. Also, one of the cases covered during the program turned out to be the same one I got called on to address during my day on the 'hot seat.' Because of my previous exposure, I was able to make it through the questioning and pressure of being called on to discuss a case with the professor. I would strongly recommend the program to anyone entering into their first year of law school!

Law Preview was definitely helpful to me in the first year, especially the first semester. I got really good grades after the first semester and was ranked in the top 10% of my class. After the first year, I am now ranked in the top 25% of my class. I did not do bad the second semester, I just did not do as good as the first semester.

Law Preview helped me tremendously. Law Preview gave me a great amount of confidence, a necessity in law school. I did not fear school, but embraced it. Law Preview tools and tips that helped me do as well as I did.

It was so important that I had my outlines done when the reading period before exams took place. I spent absolutely NO TIME learning anything new, since I followed the advice of Law Preview and attended all my classes and briefed all my cases and had my outlines done. What I did spend time doing was learning how to take the particular exams that the professors were going to give. I read through my outlines once or twice, and spent a little time focusing on problem areas, but for the most part I spent my time doing practice exams. I ended up with two A's an A- and a B+ in my four classes.
—Andy Y., John Marshall Law School—Chicago, Class of 2008

I knew that my LSAT score of 153 was not indicative of my potential in law school and Law Preview helped me reach that potential. Law Preview opened my eyes to the specific challenges I would face in law school and gave me expert advice on how to handle them. I earned the highest grade in my Torts class and made the Dean's List my first semester. This success helped me gain a summer internship with a United States District Court Judge. Law Preview certainly gave me an advantage over the rest of my classmates because I knew how to study efficiently and effectively before I started school.
