[Graduation Year: All]

Fantastic. I knew what to expect when I entered and how to prepare for finals at a good pace throughout the semester. I would recommend it to anyone enrolling in law school. [Law Preview] made the adjustment very easy.

The advice on test preparation, outlining and case briefing were crucial to my success. I knew the steps necessary for success before I even started the fall semester.
—Aaron F., University of California at Los Angeles School of Law, Class of 2009

Pushing for briefing cases rather than simply reading them was the biggest impact. Also, pushing to start outlines early and taking practice tests really impacted. The actually substantive overview of the courses were significantly less useful than the study skills. However, the study skills were so useful that they we're worth the price alone. Although UCLA does not rank, my GPA was a 3.7.

Gave a great guideline for study skills and allocating my time throughout first semester. Great practice in case briefing prior to starting school. Excellent professors at law preview. Highly recommend. [Ranked #2 out of 350 students after first semester].

I just wanted to let you know that I recently received my grades. I got Honors in two of my classes. Thanks a bunch for all your help and for giving me the scholarship (which allowed me to take Law Preview).
—Roberto J., University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall), Class of 2005

A solid head start, if only to have heard the some of the new vocabulary, so it wasn't so new and overwhelming when it hit initially. So much of law school for me was getting a clean break out of the gates.

Boalt does not have rankings or traditional grades. We do have a curve w/ the top 10% receiving HH, the next 30% H and the remainder of the class P. For my first semester, I received an H in all of my classes, except for one, where I received a HH. I attribute my success to Law Preview. I came into a law school with a game plan, so while the rest of my classmates were trying to figure out how to study, I am was already in the library using the techniques of briefing and reviewing and I learned at during my session. I had confidence in the method. Law Preview did a great job taking the mystery out of law school, and once the smoke and mirrors have been removed, I found the material managable. Thank you for putting together a great program.

Law Preview completely made my first semester experience. I came in with a game plan instead of struggling the first few months to figure out what I was trying to accomplish. I knew exactly what my courses were going to cover, and most importantly, what I needed to do to get the best handle on the material. I scored in the highest 10% of all my first semester classes and I attribute a lot of this to the preparation I received in Law Preview - especially the exam-taking, outlining, and time management advice.

I am so thankful that I took the Law Preview class. Law school is hard work, but it is doable with the proper tools. I was able to get the tools for the first year from the one week class. This class should be mandatory to all entering 1Ls.

The best thing about Law Preview is the tips that they give you about managing your time. I followed the plan to the letter. I only briefed and read for the first six weeks and then after that, I began outlining and preparing for exams. It worked! I ended up in the top 5-10% of my class, even winning awards for the highest grade in my section. Also, it was helpful to go into the first semester having already read some of the most important cases and having been introduced to some of the key subjects. I honestly think it was the smartest thing I did all year.

Law Preview helped me know what to expect at law school. That alone was worth the money! What I valued most was the timeline and the academic success lectures. It helped me to know that I should plan on spending 12 hours a day doing law school related things. The first semester I wasn't able to review cumulatively each week like I wanted to, but I still felt like I was keeping myself on track according to the Law Preview plan. Even though Berkeley doesn't rank students, I received an "H" for each one of my courses, so I guess I was doing something right!

From day one, I felt comfortable in a sea of anxiety because I had a plan and knew what to do everyday. The whole semester of cold calling, I was only startled by one question! Before Law Preview (and being the first in my family to go to law school) I had no idea that I was supposed to "brief" a case and now, I do countless briefs everyday. The preparation for class & exams was the key!! The only thing I would change is outlining earlier! By the way, Berkeley doesn't rank but I am happy with my grades!

As an undergraduate, I relied on my ability to BS and learn quickly to get decent grades. I never developed good study habits or much discipline. Needless to say, I knew that I was going to be in for a world of hurt if I didn't do something to get ready for law school. Law Preview was the perfect something. After the first semester, I have a 3.74 and a great plan for academic success. It started with knowing what I was getting myself into, which the pre-course reading really helped with. Then it meant getting a basic grasp of the material, so that I could actually engage in school from day one, without the panic. The time in the program with the professors really helped build that basic understanding. Lastly, it meant knowing how, what, and when to study. The course, the materials, the advise, the follow-up emails, I couldn't say enough good things about how all of this truly useful and concrete information transformed my approach to school. At law school, you will hear a ton of advice, from students, from professors, from lawyers, from other companies. The Law Preview approach is the one: work hard, work smart. I didn't waste much time at all figuring out how to get started, and I used my exam time efficiently. I even slept well most nights. So, thank you so much for a great program.

Law Preview really helped me out at the beginning of my law school career. I not only knew how to write a solid reading brief, but also had a pretty good idea of the outline of each course before it even began.

I found the exam prep and case briefing strategies particularly helpful. I also found that I was more confident in class as a result of Law Preview.

Law Preview does exactly as it's name purports: it is a preview of law school. I found that the stimulated class sessions mirrored my actual law school classes. For me, attending Law Preview helped to reduce my anxiety and apprehension of the first week of classes and what to expect. Because many schools do not teach you how to brief cases or compose an outline, I felt at ease while completing my first homework assignments because I had already learned those skills at Law Preview. I highly recommend Law Preview for incoming 1L students.

I was better prepared for what to expect during my first semester of law school. Others were much more stressed; I knew what was important to focus my attention on, instead of getting caught up with all the minute details in every case. Finding old exams, outlines from upper-levels, and utilizing study aids when I needed them, helped me so much. With a 3 year old at home, the preparation and knowledge that Law Preview gave me was (and is) invaluable!! . . . Law Preview lowered my level of anxiety at the beginning of the school year. Many of my fellow students were stressed and overwhelmed right from the start. Law Preview gave me the tools I needed to balance school with my responsibilities as a mom. . . . I haven't received my rank yet, but I do know that I made dean's list! Thanks Law Preview!

Law Preview taught me to engage the law in the text, rather than just sorting through it to find answers for the Socratic method. Overall I enjoyed and benefited from your program--all of the advice was spot on.

I believe that Law Preview was an integral part of my first semester success. While my school does not issue rankings until the end of the first year I was very pleased with my first semester grades. I felt like I had a true advantage over my peers in law school because I had a comprehensive understanding of all of my courses before they had even started. I am incredibly grateful to Law Preview for all of the great study/exam tactics that I employed throughout first semester.

I don't know my ranking at the end of my first year, but I have a 3.51 GPA. Law Preview was very helpful in putting me a step ahead of my classmates in the beginning of the semester. When they were learning how to read and brief a case, I was learning the rule. As the semester went on the gap left, but I still think it helped me a lot with confidence and study skills. Everyone else was getting advice from 2L's, but I felt like I had concrete experience behind the advice I got at Law Preview.
