[Law Schools: All] [Graduation Year: All]

I haven't received an A in ages, and after my first semester at law school I certainly didn't expect to see multiple As. But there they were, two As and one B. Law Preview had so much to do with my first semester success. While other students were trying to figure out how to study and synthesize the coursework, I already had my framework handed to me by Law Preview. While others were spending hours studying the wrong way, I was studying efficiently and effectively because of the tools that I already had before the first day of classes even started. I would recommend Law Preview to anyone who asked (and anyone who didn't). The program gave me the confidence and basic skills I needed to successfully start on the road to what I hope will be a great career. Thanks to Don and everyone at Law Preview!

It helped me focus before going into first year, so I really hit the ground running. I felt less overwhelmed than a lot of other students, knew what to expect, and was ready to work.

—Courtney D., Catholic University of America—Columbus School of Law, Class of 2008

Law Preview definitely helped prepare me for the difficult first year of law school. It took a lot of the surprise and anxiety out of the first year by giving me a preview of what was to come. I felt like I was already ahead of my classmates on the first day of school. I essentially followed the suggestions of Law preview to the letter and was focused on doing well in my first year. Now I'm in the top ten (10) percent of my class and made Law Review at my school. Law Preview was essential to my success in law school and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to do well in their respective program.

—Anonymous, Chapman University School of Law, Class of 2008

Thank you Law Preview!! I know that I could not have done as well as I did without your program. I tried to stay as close to the schedule as possible (staying ahead on my reading, briefing every case, taking practice exams) and it really paid off [ranked #1]. I would recommend this program to anyone who is entering law school.

—Catherine T., Chapman University School of Law, Class of 2009

One of the greatest benefits of Law Preview was that it took away the anxiety of the unknown. It set you up for what class experience is like, how to read and brief cases, how to prepare for class, and how to take exams. I believe that the experience was very helpful and put me in the right mindset for the amount of work that was required and that understanding the process and big picture put me at an advantage in the first few weeks. . . . overall my GPA ended up as a 3.4 (placing me on the cusp of the top 10% of the class at a school with a forced median of 2.8).

—Anonymous, Chapman University School of Law, Class of 2011

The instructors at the Law Preview program were right-on with their recommendations for test taking and studying. Putting to use their techniques helped me to keep on track and schedule throughout the year and when studying for finals. If nothing else, the Law Preview course gives you an accurate preview of what to expect during your first year in law school, which by itself is worth the cost of attending the program.

—Kevin H., Chapman University School of Law, Class of 2011

Law Preview helped me get to the top of my class and stay there. The experience allows you to be going full speed on the first day of class while other students are still trying to adjust/figure out what is going on. I found Law Preview helpful on so many different fronts that I don't have enough space to explain all of them. I found the overviews of core 1L classes helpful. However, the most helpful thing to me was being in a law school setting with professors calling on people and covering materials that were assigned. It taught me how to brief and gave me a schedule that I followed the entire year. I also found the exam taking and legal writing information very helpful. Overall, it was well worth the money and time to get an edge on other students and help vault me to the top of the class. Staying there after the first year is now my only concern and with the help of Law Preview it is possible.

—Anonymous, Charleston School of Law, Class of 2008

They do not release rankings for the first semester only after the second. I do know that the curve falls around a 2.86 and I finished with around a 3.3 GPA. I think learning how classes were going to be and knowing what to do helped a lot.

—Anonymous, Charleston School of Law, Class of 2011

I am not ranked because I have yet to meet the credit hour threshold for being ranked (I am a part-time student). However, in 3 classes, I've managed to secure an A- in legal research and writing, an A- in civil procedure, and a B+ in contracts, amounting to a 3.556 GPA. The most important aspect I could say that I learned from Law Preview is how to brief and to ALWAYS brief your cases. . . . [T]he general discussions about law school (studying strategies, time management, success strategies, etc.) were invaluable.

—Robert W., Charleston School of Law, Class of 2011

I did very well my first semester of law school; I made a 3.55 GPA. We are not currently ranked. Over the December holiday, Charleston received its ABA approval. I am extremely pleased that I attended the summer session. It gave me the confidence and support I needed to make it through such a tough accademic adjustment. Before stepping foot in a class room I already knew how to brief a case, how to make an outline, when to begin studying for exams, etc. Knowing that I was on the right track was very freeing; I could relax when everyone around me was falling apart. . . . I thought that the program was wonderful. I still use some of the notes I took during that week if I get confused. Thanks you so much for putting something like this together. Law Preview is a lifesaver!

—Anonymous, Charlotte School of Law, Class of 2009

Law Preview mentally prepared me for the workload of the first year. Beyond that, it offered valuable strategy tips for studying and exam-taking, as well as information regarding fall interviews and internships after the second year. Overall, the best advice given was, "Brief all of your cases!",

—Brandon S.", Chicago-Kent College of Law—Illinois Institute of Technology, Class of 2008

I attended the Law Preview session last summer in Atlanta. I remember you saying follow the Law Preview plan, work hard, and you will succeed. I did well first semester so I knew something was working. I continued to follow your blue print second semester and I could not be happier. I finished my first year at Chicago-Kent with a 3.92 GPA, which puts me # 1 in my class of 315. Law Preview really helped me hit the ground running on day one and keep the momentum throughout the year. Thanks for your help.

This may not make the best testimonial, but Law Preview instilled a necessary fear in my mind. The sample doctrinal classes certainly didn't hurt, but the real benefit was the fear of not excelling in my first year. As it should, Law Preview stressed the immense importance of first year grades. So, as a result, I believed that if I did not do great my first year, then I would have difficulty finding post-graduate employment. That fear, combined with the ambition most law students already have, fueled my first year. I made the Chicago-Kent Law Review, as well as the Chicago-Kent Moot Court Honor Society. Now, I have to figure out how to handle both!

—Anonymous, Chicago-Kent College of Law—Illinois Institute of Technology, Class of 2009

Law Preview helped me come to school "ready to play." I already had knowledge of what was going to be covered, and HOW it was to be covered. The heads-up on how to do case briefs was invaluable.

—Steven K., Chicago-Kent College of Law—Illinois Institute of Technology, Class of 2010

Law Preview allowed me to 'hit the ground running' at law school. I did not have to spend valuable time at the beginning of each semester figuring out what the context of each subject matter was; I already knew it because of what Law Preview had covered.

—Steven K., Chicago-Kent College of Law—Illinois Institute of Technology, Class of 2010

Law Preview provides a phenomenal service to entering law students. I was thoroughly impressed with all aspects of the program: the preparation and study skills, substantive preview, as well as your professional and approachable demeanor and personal dedication to students. . . . I admire your personal initiative and feel good about having chosen a company that is genuinely committed to students rather than only its profits. . . . Arriving at law school I felt more peace of mind and confidence with regards to the task ahead. This sense of peace is not insignificant -- I believe it is making my learning experience more enjoyable and fulfilling and I feel very prepared as I finish my fifth week of classes.

—Kavita P., City University of New York School of Law at Queens College, Class of 2003

My school believes in maintaining a non-competitive environment and does not rank, however I will say that Law Preview was very helpful. Although I was not ranked in my class, I received 3 A-'s for the semester and I am among the top 25 students in my year.

—Anonymous, City University of New York School of Law at Queens College, Class of 2012

I attended Law Preview at Texas Weslayan in Fort Worth last summer.I just got my grades from the second semester. My cumulative GPA is 3.63. . . . My grades for the the two semesters included SIX As and TWO B+s!!!! At Cleveland Marshall College of Law, they use a forced curve grading system where a maximum of up to 10% of students in any course can get an A. 3.63 means an invite to join Law Review b/c I am in the top 10% of my class.More than anything else, Law Preview got me fired up and ready for the competitive arena of law school. After a week with you all, there was nothing else I needed to know to get prepared for my first year. Thanks again.

—Greg Z., Cleveland State University—Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Class of 2005

Law preview took all of the stress out of my law school experience. I never had a late night. I was always prepared. This itself is very valuable when you are in one of the most challenging of academic experiences.

—Maurice P., Cleveland State University—Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Class of 2009

I cannot thank the staff of Law Preview enough for all of their help. After my first semester of law school, I got a 4.0 GPA and am #1 in my class out of 217 students. I am the only person from my class to have attended Law Preview, and I attribute my success to the program. When I started law school, I had already been exposed to each subject, had already read several cases and briefed them, and most importantly, had already taken a law school exam. I was way ahead of the learning curve. The most important thing in law school is knowing how to take an exam and how to prepare for it. Law Preview breaks down your study schedule by the week--I followed it to a tee. I knew when my outlines should be done, I knew what study aids to use, and I knew the format for writing an A exam. The experience and knowledge I gained through the program was invaluable. I highly recommend Law Preview for anyone going to law school!
