About Heather's Career
Heather took the Law Preview class in 2005 before starting her 1L year at GWU Law, where she excelled. At GWU Law, Heather served as Articles Editor of the George Washington University Law Review and received the Judge Albert H. Grenadier Award for her participation in the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.
After graduation, Heather joined Kirkland's Washington D.C. office where she practices litigation. She not only works on important criminal and civil litigation cases, but also finds the time to give back by taking on some of the Firm's pro bono matters. Heather's contributions have not gone unnoticed and she has twice been awarded Kirkland's Washington Pro Bono Service Award (2009, 2010).
Having taken the Law Preview course the summer before law school, I felt confident as a 1L student. Specifically, I had a better handle than my classmates on how to take notes and outline the readings, and fully understood my professors’ expectations.
