Founded in 1934, Latham & Watkins is a full-service international powerhouse with approximately 2,000 attorneys in 30 offices across Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the United States. The founders of Latham & Watkins instilled an ethic of hard work, commitment and quality that flourishes today and has nurtured the firm's dramatic growth into one of the world's premier business law firms. The firm is internationally renowned for its practices across a wide spectrum of transactional, litigation, corporate and regulatory areas, and has received considerable market recognition for its handling of landmark matters. We have also received praise for our innovative approach to law firm management and for our pro bono work and community service. At the heart of the firm is its focus on collaboration; across jurisdictions, practices and industries, the firm draws upon its deep subject matter expertise, its abiding commitment to teamwork and its tradition of creative and commercial counsel.
Our attorneys, paralegals and staff throughout the world comprise a rich mixture of men and women of different races, ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientations, cultures and primary languages. We are strengthened enormously by this diversity, and our commitment to equal opportunity enables Latham & Watkins to draw from a remarkable wealth of talent to recruit and retain the best attorneys and create one of the world's leading law firms.
We are delighted to sponsor a number of students to participate in Law Preview's law school prep course which is designed to help guide entering 1L law students on the road to success. The Latham & Watkins Law Preview Scholarship program is among several firm initiatives designed to promote diversity in the legal profession.
