MoFo Law Preview Scholarship For UC Berkeley Law School

Morrison & Foerster Law Preview Scholarship

Morrison & Foerster is a global firm with over 1,000 lawyers in key technology and financial centers in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Founded in 1883, we remain dedicated to providing our clients with legendary service. Our attorneys share high standards and a commitment to excellence. Our dedication to serving client needs has resulted in enduring relationships and a record of high achievement. We are leaders in each of the areas in which we practice. These include litigation, financial services, intellectual property and technology, and transactional work, such as corporate, capital markets and real estate finance representations

Our clients come to us with their most challenging questions. That's what keeps us focused and motivated. We know that generating the best ideas requires intellectual curiosity and different perspectives. We are a collection of individuals with different personalities, outlooks, backgrounds and experiences. We value the perspectives that the diversity of our lawyers and staff brings to our firm. We believe that our open-minded and collaborative environment encourages individuals to say what they really think, to conceptualize new solutions to problems and to embrace fresh ideas.

While we understand that a diverse legal profession is highly important, we also appreciate that without proper preparation most students find the law school experience overwhelming and extremely difficult to earn top grades. That is why Morrison & Foerester decided to sponsor scholarships to Law Preview's law school prep course -- a program that some of our most successful lawyers took before they themselves entered law school.

A student's first-year grades are perhaps the most important set of grades they will receive in law school because many legal employers use them when deciding who to interview and hire for their summer associate programs. Because 1L grades can be so critical, Morrison & Foerster wanted to invest in a pipeline program that truly helped position diverse students for a successful start in law school. Some of our attorneys took the Law Preview class before starting law school in order to prepare for the challenges they would face during the first year and gave the class high marks. If you are planning to attend one of the schools we sponsor and meet the scholarship criteria, I encourage you to submit an application.
