About Renee's Legal CareerRenee attended Law Preview in 2004 before starting at South Texas College of Law in Houston, TX. After a very successful 1L year that placed her at the very top of her first-year class, Renee worked as a Summer Associate in the Houston office of Vinson & Elkins LLP. She later transferred to the University of Minnesota School of Law where, again, she excelled and graduated with honors.
After graduating from law school, Renee served as a federal judicial law clerk to the Honorable (then-Chief) Judge James M. Rosenbaum for United States District Court in Minneapolis, Minnesota. When Renee's clerkship concluded, she relocated to the Bay Area and worked as an associate for the prestigious law firm of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, PC..
In 2010 Renee left Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, PC. and founded ITL Law, P.C. in Oakland, CA where she enjoys a general practice. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Oakland Pride, an LGBTQ organization dedicated to educating the greater community, promoting equality, civic involvement and responsibility within Oakland and neighboring communities. Renee also sits on the Board of Directors of the Victory Campaign Board.
Knowing what I know now, I would do it precisely the same way all over again. Law Preview is not to be missed if having a head-start and excelling beyond your wildest dreams is something that you value. If not, don't worry. You'll be fine without it, right? Clearly, I don't mind taking risks--just not unnecessary ones! If you want to be in the know, get the Preview!
